DRAMA
In Drama class, students will learn how to develop character, plot and theme, while working together to perform a play for family and friends. Skills learned are acting techniques, voice work, script work, character development, prop work and theatre etiquette. Students learn in a safe environment and gain the experience of being on stage!
BROADWAY KIDS
Singing, Dancing & Acting for ages 10-12 yrs with a cabaret-style performance for friends and family on the final day of class. Performance will include scenes and songs from musicals.
MUSICAL THEATRE
This program will be filled with quality instruction in singing, acting and dancing. Students will work together to put on a musical performance. Classes will include learning choreopraphy and music, and exercises for character development and theatre etiquette. Another dance form is recommended for this class, but is not mandatory.
TRIPLE THREAT
The Junior Triple Threat Program (ages 10-13) and the Senior Triple Threat Program (ages 14-18) classes run each Saturday. This program is an intense study of acting, vocal work and dance. Instructors, and Guest speakers will guide students through auditioning techniques, and repertoire to connect and expose students to the performing industry. This program is by audition only.
IMPROV
Being the core of drama, improv improves confidence, public speaking and creativity. Improv allows the participants to take risks and be spontaneous. Participants will be asked to respond within a fictional situation. Classes will include activities to help with the rules behind short form improv.
BROADWAY BABIES & MINIS
Broadway Babies: Singing, Dancing & Acting for ages 3-4.5. Children love to jump, dance and sing! They are natural movers. In Broadway Babies we develop mobility and use movement to express ourselves! Broadway Babies achieve development through music, rhythm and movement!
Broadway Minis: Singing, Dancing & Acting for ages 5-6. This program provides an environment for young children to discover and develop their passion for drama, music and dance, while learning to explore musical concepts, building concentration, self-expression and confidence.
Classes will showcase a final performance for friends and family at the end of the term!
